Message I bought my '94 NA back in August 2007 and ended up driving it back to my home in Knoxville, TN from the previous owner, in Ft. Lauderdale, ironically. The car has only 49,600 miles on it when I bought it, so it had sat for a lot if its life. I was mostly concerned with tires, brakes, fluids, and especially belts. Another concern was dry-rotted gaskets. Thankfully nothing happened on that end, but I did have a problem.

I drove from Ft. Lauderdale to Tampa to see family that night, had no real problems. Left Tampa to head home 2 days later and stopped halfway in Warner-Robins GA for a few hours to see friends. After that 3 hour stop I was leaving from getting gas befroe I got on I-75, and the throw-out bearing in the clutch started to lock up. Long story short I drove it from Macon GA to Knoxville with keeping it to less than about 10 shifts. Maybe not the best decision, but I knew if I could limp her home, I could fix whatever damage was done.

Now after sitting for god knows how long and then throwing 1500 miles at her in 3 days, the heat cooked out what little grease was left in that bearing. Things like that are what I'd be wary of, but given you're just getting to Orlando, that wouldn't be that bad. Granted when I got home, I immediatley did a full clutch kit replace, the 60K maintanence, all fluids, and started replacing all the rubber hoses I could. Check my profile for a full listing.

It hasn't been cheap, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
